Account Manager

Account Manager Job Responsibilities:

Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.

Account Manager Job Duties:

  • Develops and obtains business targets through directories, cold calls, internet research and industry trade shows
  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets
  • Achieves projected sales volume objectives, market penetration, average sales price by product and ultimately, contribute to company profitability
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products and new products
  • Grows distribution and placement in both new and existing accounts
  • Develops and communicates strategies to grow market share and customer base
  • Works collaboratively to ensure optimal customer service and support
  • Identifies and analyzes local market dynamics and pursues new opportunities
  • Assists Accounting department with collecting payments

Account Manager Trainee

Account Manager Trainee Job Responsibilities:

Supports sales team by tracking, investigating, and reporting sales information; assist in resolving any issues pertaining to customers or inventory.

Account Manager Trainee Job Duties:

  • Keep up to date with all product information
  • Manage inventory daily
  • Coordinate with storage facility to ensure proper distribution of products
  • Resolve order and inventory problems by investigating data and history
  • Actively involved in the receiving of new shipments
  • Email customer statements on a weekly basis
  • Conduct collection calls to collect all Accounts Receivables
  • Maintain accurate credit files and collection files
  • Maintain electronic collect notes for each customer account
  • Maintain customer database by inputting customer profile and updates
  • Assist sales department resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management
  • Update managers by consolidating, analyzing, and forwarding daily action summaries
  • Resolve pricing discrepancies
  • Provide product, promotion, and pricing information by clarifying customer requests, selecting appropriate information; forwarding information; answering questions
  • Back-up and assist customer service, outside purchases, transportation, and transfers
